Sex During Pregnancy
Many couples have this question in their mind that whether it is safe to experience sex at the time of pregnancy without harming the growing fetus inside the mother’s womb. However, doctors are of the opinion that there is no harm in experiencing such closeness during pregnancy except in certain cases when there are higher chances of risk in giving birth to your baby.
In normal cases there is no chance of the baby getting affected because he or she remains protected by the amniotic fluid in the womb by the abdomen and also by the mucus plug, which seals your cervix and guards the baby from several infectious diseases. But in certain cases situations may be adverse and your physician may recommend you not to get involved in risky sexual togetherness. Such cases include
1. If the mother has already experienced cases of premature birth and labor
2. If the mother has gone through miscarriage in the past
3.If water has broken inside her body
4. If the mother experiences unexplained vaginal bleeding and discharge
5. If the mother has placenta previa, or a very low lying placenta
6. If the mother has an ineffectual cervix or if it has dilated
7. If her partner is suffering from a transferable sexual disease
Therefore, be sensible and never try to attempt something, which may prove dangerous both for you as well as for the innocent life within you. You should always consult your doctor before indulging in any sexual act with the kid’s mother. Pay respect to your relationship and exercise self control when necessary.
